A 2006 nominee for the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Nicholson has had more than 350 of his songs recorded, has won 26 ASCAP songwriting awards and is responsible for more than a dozen major hits. Gary’s songs know no musical genre and have been recorded by country, blues, rock and bluegrass artists.
Songs written by Gary Nicholson include “Your Love Shines Through” by Mickey Gilley, “One More Last Chance” by Vince Gill, “The Trouble with the Truth” by Patty Loveless and “She Couldn’t Change Me” by Montgomery Gentry. Gary has also produced two Grammy Award winning albums for Delbert McClinton as well as producing albums for T. Graham Brown, Wynonna and The Judds and has also guided projects for Chris Knight, Jimmy Thackery and Grand Ole Opry star Pam Tillis.
