Bryant’s first single, Reba McEntire’s “Forever Love,” rose to No. 1 followed by Clay Davidson’s Top-5 CMA-nominated, Song of the Year “Unconditional.” In 2007, Keith Urban’s recording of Bryant’s “Stupid Boy” was a top 10 hit on the Billboard charts and won Urban a Grammy in 2008. Another hit, “Don’t Make Me,” recorded by Blake Shelton, was a Billboard Top 15 Country Hit, and in 2008, Heidi Newfield released “Johnny and June,” taking it to the top of the charts and crossing over to pop charts, peaking at No. 58 on the Hot 100. “Johnny and June” received 5 CMA nominations including Song of the Year.
