Formerly a contract songwriter and producer at Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def Recordings, Manuel Seal, Jr. has co-written many hit songs including Usher’s “You Make Me Wanna,” “Nice and Slow,” “My Way,” Destiny’s Child’s “With Me”, and “My Boo.” Manuel also co-wrote Mariah Carey’s number one singles “Always Be My Baby” and “We Belong Together.”
In 2010, Manuel Seal, Jr. was honored by the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers (ASCAP) 23rd Annual Rhythm & Soul Awards Ceremony for their “Song of the Decade Award” as the co-writer of Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together.”
