Larry Jon Wilson was an American country singer, self-taught guitarist and musician from Swainsboro, Georgia. He was also host of “Georgia Backroads,” on Georgia PBS. His songs include “Sheldon Churchyard,” “Ohoopee River Bottomland,” “Melt Not My Igloo,” “I Remember It Well,” “Through the Eyes of Little Children” and “I Betcha Heaven’s on a Dirt Road”. Wilson’s singing style is often compared to Kris Kristofferson and Johnny Cash. He performed at the 2004 and 2005 concerts. Wilson passed away in June of 2010.
