J. R. Cobb is an American guitarist who has played with the Classics IV and the Atlanta Rhythm Section.
Cobb wrote six gold hits for Dennis Yost & the Classics IV prior to joining the Atlanta Rhythm Section, for whom he authored and co-authored numerous additional hit records.
He was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 1993, and the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in 1997, where he received the Music Creator’s Award. Cobb currently resides in Monticello, Georgia.
