J.P. has had a lifelong passion for music, which grew even stronger when he lost his sight as a child. He began writing songs at a very early age, and has been doing it ever since. He now tours the southeast playing venues from small bars to the world-renowned Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. With an astounding vocal range, he sings a blend of country and blues that is reminiscent of Clay Walker one moment, and James Taylor the next.
